God's Salvation

GOD’S SALVATION  FROM THE BIBLE --All of us are not perfect. We cannot keep God’s law. All of us have sinned by breaking God’s law. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20) “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”  (1 John 3:4) --We  are under the judgment of God; that judgment includes the eternal lake of fire.  “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a) “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cas...
WHAT ABOUT GOD’S ELECTION? -- Where do we read in the  Bible  that God has an election and what is this about? The following are some verses from the Bible that describe the election by God using the words choose, chosen, elect and election : Psalm 65:4 Blessed  is the man whom  thou  choosest,  and causest to approach  unto thee, that  he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house,  even  of thy holy temple. Isaiah 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine  elect  shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there Romans 9:11 “(For  the children  being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to  election  might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)”.” 1 Peter 1:2  Elect   according  to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through...
WHAT ABOUT SIGNS AN WONDERS TODAY?   Q.     Does the Bible teach that signs, wonders and  miraculous healings are a work of God today as they were in the times when the Bible was written?   A.    There are some verses which would appear to teach this but we must look at ALL of the Bible to see what God says about these things.  First, we must understand their purpose.  Then we must look to see if the Scripture reveals that these things were purposed for the true believers until the end of time, or up to a certain time during the New Testament period.  Our answers must come from the Bible alone (Isaiah  8:20 , 2 Tim.  2:15 ,  3:16 ).   Q.   Why would signs, wonders and miraculous healings not be for today since they were performed by the apostles (2 Cor.  12:12 ), the  church  of  Corinth  (1 Cor. 12) and the Lord Jesus Himself (Mark...
TOTAL DEPRAVITY  1.         Man’s Relationship To God Before The Fall Into Sin a.         Man is made in the  image  (likeness) of God – Genesis 1:27  [‘tzehlem’ – Strong’s #6754 – found in Numbers 33:52, Psalm 39:6. ‘vain shew’, 73:20, Daniel 2:31,32, Amos 5:26 and Strong’s #6754 ‘tzlehmveth’ – compound word translated as ‘ shadow  of death’ as in Job 24:17, Psalm 23:4, Isaiah 9:2] b.         Man was made  upright  – Ecclesiastes 7:29 [‘yashar’ – Strong’s #3474 and 3477 – translated as ‘please’ (Judges 14:3, 1 Samuel 18:26), right (1 Samuel 12:23, Proverbs 12:15, 21:2,8), righteous (Job 23:7, Psalm 107:42, Proverbs 2:7) ‘seemed good’ (Jeremiah 18:4), ‘make straight’ (Isaiah 40:3), ‘Jasher’ (Joshua 10:13, 2 Samuel 1:18) and ‘upright’ (Psalm 7:10, 25:8, 92:15)] c.         Everything in creation was made...
For Whom Did Jesus Christ Give Up His Life? Christ came to redeem His people from Hell, as we find in Mat 1:21, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” John 10:11 also says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life [soul] for the sheep.” How did the Lord Jesus save His people from their sins, and give His life for the sheep? He accomplished what was humanly impossible . Jesus Christ had to finish all of the following work of the Atonement before He could return spiritually to His Father in Heaven. Then He cried, “It is finished!” before He physically died on the cross (John 19:30): The Lord Jesus had to become sin, as we read about in 2 Cor 5:21, “For he [God the Father] hath made him [Jesus Christ] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him .” Jesus Christ became a curse under the eternal wrath of...
